Citizenship by Investment

Citizenship in Dominica by Economic Contribution/Investment

The Island of Dominica offers an instant economic citizenship program in which you can make a donation to the Government and receive naturalized citizenship and Dominica passport. The passport program is a well-established process, and has seen over 5000 successful applicants since it began in 1993.

Benefits in having a Dominica passport:

  1. Visa Free Status and Tax Free Status

Dominica holds no visa and visa upon arrival with over 100 different countries around the world including most of the EU countries including Ireland and the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and many more.

With a citizenship from Dominica, you will not be taxed by Dominica on foreign income, capital gains, gift, wealth or inheritance tax. The only time which you will be liable to worldwide income taxation by Dominica is if you reside year round in Dominica.

  1. Countries you can live in with your Dominica Citizenship?

Further to the free visa travel or visa on arrival, there are Schengen States visas which are easy to obtain and can be obtained in a matter of days. As a true citizen, you are entitled to live full time in Dominica, as well as also being afforded the luxury of living in most of the CARICOM states, including over 15 beautiful Islands in the Caribbean. No residence is required to maintain status as a citizen and will keep your passport in good standing. Dual citizenship is accepted by Dominica and there is no need to renounce your citizenship with other countries.

  1. Second Passport for Asset Protection

A second citizenship and passport can be the most important aspect of your asset protection planning. Instant citizenship programs such as the Dominica passport program – or “citizenship by economic contribution” could be stopped at any time, which makes it imperative to start the process as soon as possible.

The Process

Initial Consultation/Preparation of Application

The first step to accessing a Passport to Dominica is a consultation with our Citizenship by expert in this field Ms Ewa Fisher.

Ewa will review the entire process with you in detail and offer assistance and guidance through every step. We represent your interests in going to the Government of Dominica and use an officially approved due diligence vetting process. We will be able to inform you of the likelihood of acceptance before you make any non-refundable donations.

Submission of Application and Background Check (Due Diligence)

After you have had an initial consultation, been briefed on the entire process, provided all necessary information and documents we will submit your application for the due diligence checks to commence.

A background check will take place at this part of the process, this is a standard procedure and should take no longer than 6 weeks depending on the country from which you are applying.

Investment Deposit

Assuming you have passed the background checks (due diligence), and your application has been provisionally accepted, the next step is the investment deposit. The Government of Dominica will contact our Dominica lawyer who is the Authorised Agent to inform about the acceptance of the application.

This is when you would make the donation of $100,000 USD (or more for a family) to the Government of Dominica.

Taking of Oath and Naturalization

Upon the donation being received by the Government of Dominika and after taking an oath of allegiance to Dominica, your naturalization process will be completed.

The very last step is the application for a passport from Dominica Immigration Department as a naturalised citizen of Dominica.
